Email support

hello@commanderbrief.com

Include your app version, macOS version and what happened. Please don’t send your API key or private meeting recordings.

Setting up

Choose a folder for your meetings, add your OpenAI API key and follow the setup steps. AI usage is billed separately to your OpenAI account.

Missing audio

Open System Settings → Privacy & Security. Microphone access records your voice; Screen & System Audio Recording captures the other people in your call. If you change access, restart Commander Brief when macOS asks. Check your selected microphone and try a short recording while speaking and playing audio.

Transcripts or notes aren’t appearing

Check your internet connection and API key in Commander Brief Settings. Your OpenAI API account needs available credit. Keep the selected storage folder accessible. If processing still fails, email us the error message.

Connecting an AI tool

Open Commander Brief Settings and find MCP Integration. Copy the configuration into an MCP-compatible client, then restart that client. The app and your meeting folder must remain available on your Mac.

Your files and privacy

Meetings are saved in the folder you chose. You can turn screen context off in Settings. Read our privacy policy for details about local files and AI processing.
